Possessing the clear, functional style of IWC’s first-generation pilot’s replica watches, the original 3705 was a good looking watch.
It’s also an upgrade with the new case material as well as the in-house movement, which enhances the appeal.
Larger than the 39 mm original, the Tribute to 3705 case is 41 mm in diameter, and a thick 15.3 mm high. It’s made of Ceratanium, as are the Cheap IWC Replica pushers and buckle. Ceratanium is actually a composite of titanium and ceramic.
Inside the cal. 69380, a movement IWC developed to replace the Valjoux 7750. Though both have a similar chronograph layout, they are clearly different: the 7750 has its constant seconds at nine.

IWC finally resurrected Reference 3705 Fliegerchronograph, and carried out a modern update, including a brand-new internal movement and a case made of IWC’s proprietary cerium alloy.
Ref. 3705, released in 1994, was IWC’s first Pilot’s Replica Watch in black ceramic.
The pilot’s watch replica chronograph “Tribute 3705” is in most respects a faithful replica of the 90s classic, but there are some notable exceptions in terms of appearance and interior. The 41mm case is not made of the original black ceramic, but made of Ceratanium, which not only has the hardness and scratch resistance of the former, but also retains the lightness and sturdiness of the latter.
The IWC Replica case, crown, and pushers are made of Ceratanium.
The crown, chronograph button and pin buckle are all made of the same material. The layout of the black frosted dial slightly rearranges the subdials of the older models: now, the small seconds is displayed at 6 o’clock, while the 30-minute and 12-hour chronographs are displayed at 12 and 9 o’clock in total.

The date and date display at 3 o’clock remain unchanged, while the white azimuth triangle at 12 o’clock now has two points on either side, just like a classic pilot’s fake watch. The convex sapphire crystal is treated with double-sided non-reflective treatment to prevent a drop in air pressure in the cockpit.
The dial’s tricompax layout with day-date display has been subtly updated.
The self-winding movement is used in high-end chronographs throughout the entire modern collection of IWC Replica Watch. It is equipped with a column-wheel chronograph movement, a 46-hour power reserve and IWC’s innovative two-way pawl winding system. The movement runs with 33 jewels, beats at a balanced frequency of 28,800 vph, and has a hacking mechanism.
The pilot’s chronograph “Tribute to 3705” is mounted on a black calfskin strap, just like its historical predecessor, but in this case by design.
The diameter of the IWC Big Pilot replica watch is 46 mm and the diameter is 56 mm. Somehow, the “big names” in the world all have epic jobs-or take advantage of the sweet comics of the early 00s, that is, endless credit-and IWC has worked hard for it.
The purpose of the IWC Big Pilot is to evoke the idea of the 55mm flying knife decades ago, and I think it does a good job. The original model has a clear black dial with fluent Arabic hour markers and minute tracks.
At 12 o’clock, the typical IWC Replica triangle and two points give it family resemblance to other contemporary works. The movement is a new 5011 self-winding movement, which runs at 18,000 vph, but provides an impressive 7-day power reserve. IWC also equipped these watches with 22 mm buffalo leather straps with a pair of rivets on each side.
In terms of timing, the original movement does not seem to be that impressive, and Fake IWC Watch believes that a change is necessary. First, a new dial appeared. The new 5004 reference watch comes with a new movement called 51110. This automatic movement increases the frequency to 21,600 and is more precise.
